The Club has set up and operated a number of Special Event Stations.

In May 2010, we operated GG100GMW from Tatton Park, to help the Greater Manchester West Girl Guides to celebrate the centenary of the Guiding organisation. Dozens of girls took part in Guides On The Air on HF and 2m, and even tried their hands at Morse code. They had even designed their own QSL cards for the event, which have now gone out to 61 stations in 11 countries.

And in June and 2010, we activated GB0SHM from Bolton's Smithills Hall Museum, as we did in 2009:

Our operations from the Hall have included 'phone on the HF and VHF bands, APRS on 2m and FM-ATV on 23cm. We've even entered a few VHF and HF contests from there.

And in September 2008, GB4WLR was operated for Railways On The Air from the West Lancashire Railway at Hesketh Bank:
