The Club has set up and operated a number of Special Event Stations, some of which were aimed particularly at introducing youngsters to Amateur Radio, see this page.

Often in June and September we activate GB0SHM from Bolton's Smithills Hall Museum:

Our operations from the Hall have included 'phone on the HF and VHF bands, APRS on 2m and FM-ATV on 23cm. We've even entered a few VHF and HF contests from there.
